Functional Balance
Balance is not about doing fancy poses (although those can be fun). It’s about: injury prevention, surgery recovery, and living daily life. Optimum functionality means you can balance a grocery bag on one leg while you open a door, or you can stand on one foot to reach for something on an upper shelf. This 8-week class series will use a combination of traditional yoga poses, non-traditional sequencing methods, and mind-body awareness to increase functional balance.
What you get:
- Eight 1-hour weekly yoga classes
- Pose variations offered to accommodate all levels
- Props provided (you only need to bring your mat)
- Each week, 10-15 minutes of exercises provided as daily homework
