Pisces lunar eclipse
*** Make the Most of the Eclipse Energy ***
This week, we have a full moon eclipse in Pisces at the North Node. A dear friend shared with me a video pointing out that we haven’t had this type of eclipse since 2007 and that we were having a similar timeline shift on a personal level to what we had in 2007, which got my attention because my sister passed in 2007.
I’ve done some more looking into it since then, and I’m sharing the short insights that I’ve uncovered that will help everyone figure out the specific energy at play for themselves to work with the energy accordingly.
First, some basics. On new moons, I follow my intention setting practices, paying attention to whatever sign of the zodiac the moon is in, as well as any other planetary influences, so I can set intentions aligned with the themes that the cosmic energy is supporting. Over the subsequent two weeks leading into the full moon, I pay attention to the short term reaping of those intentions, and over the longer term, I pay attention to what occurs over the next six months until the corresponding full moon of the new moon zodiac sign (e.g., the Capricorn new moon will have its corresponding full moon in July, just like right now in the month of Virgo, we are having a full moon in the sign of Pisces). On full moons, I follow my gratitude and release rituals, which leads me to how to work with the energy of this full moon.
The energy of this eclipse season is in the sign of Pisces at the North Node. Pisces is the final sign in the zodiac, with the first sign starting in Aries. So, every time we reach Pisces, we are reaching completion in a zodiac cycle. Pisces itself is representative of karma because of this placement. It’s the closing loop in a cycle of time. Meanwhile, the North Node is entirely representative of karma. In Vedic astrology, the North Node is Rahu, the head of the dragon, the way forward or where a person is headed. In a natal chart, it shows the area of challenge for the person’s lifetime. It is the karma that they must work on throughout their life.
Major events can happen with this Pisces eclipse season - deaths, births, and other major events that mark the altering of a timeline. Because it is the closing of a karmic cycle.
Meanwhile, Pluto (the planet of death, transformation, and change) is re-entering Capricorn for the last time in our lifetimes in September. Pluto takes twenty years to go through a zodiac sign, which means it takes over two hundred years to complete a full cycle of the zodiac. Pluto first entered Capricorn back in 2008 and will now be in Capricorn for the last time in our lives until November 2024. Whatever house in your natal chart is affected by Capricorn, the work that you’ve done in that area of your life since 2008 is now coming to a tipping point, culmination, fruition, or completion in these final two months of Pluto’s transit there.
HOW TO WORK WITH THIS ENERGY
First, get a copy of your natal chart (these are available for free online - just enter your birth location, date, and time; if you don’t know your birth time, enter noon or a guesstimate based on morning, afternoon, or evening birth).
Find 25° Pisces on your chart. This is the degree at which the eclipse is happening. Whatever of the 12 houses that falls under for you, research its themes.
Next, go back two houses to where Capricorn is on your chart and see which house is affected, then research the themes of that house.
Consider what has been happening for you since 2008 in the house affected by Capricorn, as well as what you would like to accomplish there in these final two months that Pluto is transiting that house. Capricorn is slow building energy, so this will be something you have been laboring with or towards for a while.
Consider the themes of the house where Pisces is located for you. These are the ways you can be cosmically supported to take action towards achieving whatever you would like to accomplish in the other house affected by Pluto culmination. Keep in mind that Piscean energy is water related, so in examining the areas of the house you’re working with, consider how they might interact with the element of water or with a general sense of flow.
Hold a release ritual to release whatever is standing in the way for you.
The energy of the full moon is available to work with for up to 1-2 days, so there’s still time.
Happy releasing!
